The bunkers were used during the war for the daily operations of the nazis such as auxiliary hospitals. The german doctor Hans Leber, a military surgeon, was the head of the hospitals on the island since June 1943 during the German occupation on the island.

Milos war museum is located between Plaka and Plakes villages, on Agios Charalambos street, only 14min drive from the main port of the island in Adamas port of Milos and is only 250m away from the bus stop and the free parking lot. From the bust stop cross the main road and follow the signs for Ag.Charalambos street. In 100 m you will find the sign for the museum.
