Milos from Athens, Information
Milos from Athens is relatively easy. You have two different options either via a flight or with a ferry boat.
During the summer period there are usually 2 or 3 flights per day that start from International Airport of Athens, Eleftherios Venizelos and land at the airport of Milos. The flight is relatively short, aprox 30 minutes and the airplanes carry up to 50 passengers.
The airport of Milos is located aprox 4 km south of the main port of Adamas. Outside the airport someone can find taxis but the bust doesn’t connect the airport with adamas yet.
The second option someone has to reach Milos is with a ferry boat and this is the most economical solution. The ferries start from the port of Piraeus and there is a train connection in Attica that stops right at the port.
The trip to Milos directly lasts aprox 5 hours and someone has always the option to catch a ferry that passes from the other Cycladic islands first and stops at Kythnos, Serifos and Sifnos and this way the trip lasts aprox 8 hours. The main port in Milos is located at the village of Adamas.
A very nice option while being on the island is to take a boat tour around the island. There are a lot of different companies that offer different trips around the coastline of the island and stop at the amazing beaches. Some of them offer full day trips, some others half day and some others private trips. In general you will find the option that suits better your schedule. In order to take a right decision on which company to choose see reviews and photos from the online sources. All of them till today start from Adamantas, located in the center of the island. You can walk along the port and find all the available options.
